A Gift of Enduring Opportunity

When offered the opportunity, Northwood students can achieve astonishing transformations.

I've had the privilege of working with young people for nearly three decades and during my time as Northwood's director of admissions I was often the first adult to greet prospective students to campus - a young person's first "dip-of-the-toe" into the boarding school life that offers both a great deal of uncertainty as well as substantial opportunity.

As we all know, access to that opportunity requires significant trust and financial investment. What you may not know is that while we ask families to account for a portion of that investment, in most cases the generosity of Northwood's alumni, families, and friends fills the gap between tuition and the entire cost to educate a student. This is as true today as it was when you or your child attended Northwood.

Today, over 50% of Northwood students receive some form of financial aid and 100% of them benefit from gifts to The Northwood Fund, supporting the people, programs, and facilities that ensure Northwood can offer the best possible student experience.

As you reflect on your Northwood experience I ask that you consider how you or your family benefited from the giving of others, and how that generosity opened the door to a world of opportunity.

Please join me in making a gift of enduring impact!
